aging-resistant, chemical-resistant, ozone-resistant and fire-resistant
properties. in Automotive Industry CPE used as an elastomer or modifier
for ABS and PVC systems; in the Wire & Cable Industry for outer
sheathing; and used for PVC Modification in injection , molding
,and extrusion applications. CPE is a good plastic modifier and
is a special rubber with good comprehensive properties. It is a
dry, flowable product with uniform size and white color Powder form.

Chlorinated polyethylene is made from a high density polyethylene.
Its saturated backbone and its chlorine content give it limited
resistance to petroleum oils and good resistance to oxidation. Unlike
neoprene, the chlorination of CPE is random and can be varied. As
the chlorine content is increased, resistance to petroleum oils
improves but low temperature flexibility becomes poorer. CPE can
be blended with other polymers to improve their flame and impact
resistance. In fact, it is seldom used alone, the bulk of the product
being used for blending purposes.

CPE is odourless nontoxic and white powder with excellent resistance
to weathering or age ozone chemicals, and good resistance to oil
or flame. It is a colorable material with very good tenacity (flexible
at -30℃、 a brittle temperature under -70℃), and good miscible with
variouspolymers due to its properties of both plastics and rubber.
CPE shows excellent resistance to very low temperature or high (a
decomposition temperature above 160℃).

CPE has two series of thermoplastic resin and elastomer rubber.
The thermoplastic CPE resin can be used alone or for blending with
poly vinyl-chloride(PVC)、polystyrene (PE)、 polypropylene(PP)、 polystyrene(PS)、
ABS or polyurethane(PU) etc. The elastomer CPE rubber shows both
the elasticity of rubber and the resistance to oil、chemical、heat、cold
and flame etc. CPE as a special rubber with high performance can
be used alone for rubber industry or for blending with EPDM、CR、NR,
NBR or CSM etc.

Chlorinated polyethylene can be used as either a thermoplastic
or thermoset. It is a tough chemical and oil resistant material
and makes an excellent jacket for industrial control cable. As a
thermoset, it can be used as an oil resistant cord jacket. Other
outstanding properties include low water absorption and superior
crush resistance, which are important attributes in industrial control
applications. It is a good plastic modifier and is a special rubber
with good comprehensive properties.
