and flame resistant end product. Also provide built-in ignition resistance.

For elastomer and rubber applications CPE -can upgrade the properties of the other thermoplastics, improve their
resistance to impact, chemicals, flame, weathering etc.

CPE features in synthetic rubber

CPE or CM ideally used for mixing with other rubbers to reduce production cost,
CPE or CM rubber chemical resistance better than EPDM, NBR, SBR.
CPE or CM heat resistance better than Butyl , CR,EPDM,NR,NBR,SBR.
CPE or CM oil resistance better than Butyl , CR, EPDM, NR , SBR.
CPE or CM flame resistance better than EPDM,NBR
CPE or CM ozone resistance better than CR,NBR

CPE has characteristics which are good for use on low voltage flexible cables (such as HPN cord) at lower cost than neoprene or hypalon. CPE is cold, oil and heat resistant, as well as flame retardant. In the case of HPN cord CPE acts as insulation and jacket combined.

Chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) modifier for PVC window profile or other PVC rigid profiles can be used alone or blending at any ratios with Acrylic based or methacrylate-butadiene-styrene MBS based impact modifier - PVC Window profile , adding CPE can improved weatherability on MBS based impact modifiers and further enhance cold temperature resistance on Acrylic based impact modifier. Normally CPE/ACR or CPE/MBS blend at 50 /50 ratio.

CM422 blending with PVC are also widely applied. CPE as permanent high molecular-plasticizer for PVC could successfully avoid migration effect by common plasticizers.

CPE is superior in abrasion resistance and has long flexing life and is widely used in production of soles .

CPE Processing tips

Compare chlorinated polyethylene (CPE), with other impact modifiers like acrylic (ACR) ,methacrylate-butadiene-styrene
(MBS), and acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) polymers are normally used to modify impact strength of PVC. CPE. As
flux promoters, tend to reduce the temperature of the extruder barrel needed for a given melt temperature so when
compounding PVC. we suggest temperature should be increased slightly higher compare with other impact modifiers.
